Ningi's neighbour taught her how to bead 10 years ago. After her neighbour and mentor passed away, Thokozani Mathe (another member of the Isu team) found out Ningi was involved in beading and asked Ningi to join her. Until this day, Thokozani still teaches Ningi different styles and patterns and has played a huge role in her life. Beading means the world to Ningi as it has brought her self confidence. Ningi loves bright colours and styles involving small, intricate stitches.

 

For Isu, Ningi is the lead of big showpieces, which she does so beautifully.
