Alexia has been beading for 51 years, learning the skill originally in 1969. Beads mean a lot to Alexia as they have allowed her to provide for her children up until their adult age. Alexia says that beads is life to her and mean everything to her. Her skill and knowledge in this art form has allowed her to travel overseas. She can even communicate using beads. Alexia loves beads in Zulu and metallic colours and her favourite stitch is 'uNhlamvwini', which is a stitch that involves using a single bead until you finish the piece.
For Isu, Alexia focuses on intricate Showpieces, bauble pieces and Sunglass Strands.
