Ningi's neighbour taught her how to bead 10 years ago. After her neighbour and mentor passed away 5 years ago, Thokozane (another member of the Isu team) found out Ningi was beading and asked Ningi to join her. Until this day, Thokozane and Mathe still teach Ningi different styles and patterns and have played a huge role in her life. Beading means the world to Ningi as it has brought her self confidence and a deep passion. Ningi loves bright colours and styles involving small stitches.

 

For Isu, Ningi is the lead of big showpieces, which she does so beautifully.
