Some stories depict the moon as a feminine symbol of life, and a bridge to the ancestral spirits, or describe its phases as a conflict with the jealous sun. iNyanga is also a term used for Zulu healers, which suggests a cultural and spiritual connection between the moon and the practice of healing within Zulu traditions.
